Professional Experience.

Since completing my BA, I’ve worked across policy, law, and the nonprofit sector - serving as a Legislative Aide and campaign manager in the Colorado State Legislature, where I led constituent communications, managed projects, and engaged community stakeholders. I then spent two years as a paralegal at Griffiths Law, deepening my legal research and writing. My volunteer and freelance work has also strengthened my public-facing communication and story telling.

These skills I now rely on as a political theorist: textual analysis and argumentation, translating abstract principles into workable judgments, and the ability to communicate complex ideas to a diverse audience. Importantly, this work also attuned me to the implicit assumptions that structure public discourse, policy debates, and legal reasoning - questions that now anchor my normative work. These experiences - spanning community development, policy, and legal practice - prompted my turn to research and a PhD in Political Theory at the University of Potsdam to interrogate the assumptions shaping political systems and ideas.
